1–2 minutes

Are you looking to clear out old or unnecessary forms and quizzes from Microsoft Forms? Whether you’ve processed all the responses you received or no longer require a form, deleting it is a quick and easy process. In one of my recent videos, I walk you through the steps to delete a form in Microsoft Forms. Let’s summarize the steps here so you can follow along easily, and don’t forget to check out the full video below for the walkthrough.

Steps to Delete a Form in Microsoft Forms:

  1. Access Your Forms
First, head over to Microsoft Forms and sign in using your Microsoft account.
  2. Select the Form Location: My forms or My groups
On your Microsoft Forms home page, switch from the Recent view to My Forms. Or, if it’s a group form that belongs to a group/team, scroll down and select the group’s name under My Groups. You cannot delete forms from the default view, Recent.
  3. Find and Delete the Form
Browse through the list of forms. You can also use the Filter by keyword search box too search for the form name if you have many. Once you’ve identified the form you want to remove, hover over the form’s tile. You’ll notice three dots (also known as the ellipsis) in the lower right corner of the form tile. Click on the ellipsis, and select Delete to remove the form. You will be asked to confirm this action.
  4. Confirmation
After confirming the deletion, the form will be placed in your Forms Recycle bin which is accessible from the Forms home page in the lower right corner of your forms.

That’s all it takes! For a visual walkthrough of the process, check out my video.
